true beauty

True beauty is in the eye of the beholder
So why does it seem that as we get older
Perceptions change and beauty is unreal
What you loved once doesn’t hold appeal
You don’t care about feelings anymore
You try to feel but it becomes a bore
So I’ll leave you to think this through
Maybe someday you’ll think I’m beautiful too
